Dinosaur World’s Jurassic Haunt returns bigger than ever, transforming the park after dark with glowing trails, spooky-fun scare zones, a haunted train ride, free face painting, temporary tattoo station and more. Every corner is alive with family-friendly frights, miles of lights, and prehistoric surprises.
Pirates of the Prehistoric takes spooky season to the next level, and once you’re in, there’s nothing to fear but missing out.

Pirates of the Prehistoric is designed for families and kids of all ages. This evening event is included with your admission and annual passe. Select nights from September 26 through November 1. Costumes are welcome and encouraged!

Climb aboard the Haunted Train Ride for a spooky-fun journey through Dinosaur World filled with glowing lights, eerie sounds, and family-friendly thrills.
Scare Zones
Every Night
Step into the family-friendly scare zones, where glowing lights, fog, and playful frights create a spooky atmosphere that’s thrilling but fun for all ages.
Mammoth Gardens
Every Night
A spooky loop designed to see if guests would enjoy an extra layer of thrills. The whole event is what we’d call a 1 out of 10 on the scare scale, but Mammoth Gardens takes it up just a notch to about a 3 out of 10. Still family-friendly, just a little more spooky fun!

Captain's Crew
Every Night
Ghostly pirates lurk just out of sight. As you make your way through the area, keep an eye on the portholes around you. You never know when an undead pirate might suddenly appear with a surprise jumpscare.
Free Trick or Treating
Every Night, Free!
Trick-or-treat with the dinosaurs! Kids receive a free trick-or-treat bag and can collect candy throughout the park during Jurassic Haunt: Pirates of the Prehistoric. A sweet adventure for the whole family!
Face Painting
Every Night, Free!
Enjoy free face painting included with admission, where kids can choose spooky or colorful designs and get into the Halloween spirit before setting off to explore Pirates of the Prehistoric.
Temporary Tattoos
Every Night, Free!
Stop by the temporary tattoo station included with admission, where kids can pick from fun, spooky designs to wear proudly as they explore Pirates of the Prehistoric.
Attractions after-dark
Every Night
Enjoy 6 attractions open after dark, including hands-on digs, prehistoric exhibits, and more unique ways to explore the park at night! These special experiences add even more adventure to your Pirates of the Prehistoric visit.

What is Jurassic Haunt: Pirates of the Prehistoric?
A family-friendly Halloween event with lights, attractions, scare zones, treats, and spooky fun throughout the park.

Where is Jurassic Haunt located?
Jurassic Haunt takes place at Dinosaur World in Plant City, Florida, conveniently located near Tampa, Lakeland, Brandon, and Orlando.

How scary is it?
Most of the park is a scare level of 0–1. Our scare zones range from 2–3.
​
Is it too scary for young kids?
Most of the park is designed for all ages, and families can avoid the designated scare zones.

How much is it?
It's included with daytime admission, or you can buy separate evening admission online. We also have an online ticket sale happening now.

Is it included with regular admission?
Yes! Jurassic Haunt is included with regular daytime admission.
​
Is there a deal for multiple nights?
Yes! Our Season Pass lets you come back on any Jurassic Haunt event night.

How crowded will it be?
Some nights will sell out. We limit tickets each night to avoid overcrowding. If we say tickets are low, we mean it!

Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Leashed dogs are welcome.
​
Will there be alcohol?
Yes. Keel Farms will have a bar serving beer and cider.
​
Will there be food?
Yes! We'll have a food truck plus Swedish waffles, dirty sodas, kettle corn, cotton candy, and more.

What happens if it rains?
Some activities may be affected by severe weather. Check our website or social media for updates.

Can kids wear costumes?
Yes! Kids are welcome to wear family-friendly Halloween costumes.
